Lasoski and Scelzi to appear on Speed Channel's "SpeedFreaks TV"
Motorsports television may never be the same — Team Mopar drivers Danny
Lasoski and Gary Scelzi are set to appear tonight on one of Speed
Channel's most hardcore racing programs, "SpeedFreaks TV". The duo will chat
with hosts Kenny Sargent, Crash Gladys, Statt Mann Caruthers and Lugg Nuttz from
the Mopar Speedshop, beginning at 8:30 p.m. EST. The program is scheduled to
re-air on December 21 at 12:30 a.m. EST and 7:30 a.m. EST.
In his second year competing under Mopar power, Lasoski again clinched runner-up honors in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship. The Tony Stewart Motorsports team captured its fourth Knoxville Nationals title, winning its second straight event in August. "The Dude" will compete as part of the Tony Stewart Superteam in the 2005 O'Reilly Chili Bowl Midget Nationals next month.
Scelzi piloted his Hemi Oakley Dodge to a third-place finish in the 2004 POWERade NHRA Funny Car standings. He picked up three event wins, made final round appearances, and earned one top-qualifier honor en route. Scelzi will return to the cockpit with Don Schumacher Racing in 2005, as the team looks to win the POWERade NHRA Funny Car championship.
