WKA's SpeedNews - Critical Tech Updates
There have been three changes/updates to section 708 of the 2005 Technical Manual. A PDF version of this, that is available for download from our home page, has been updated to reflect these changes. If you have downloaded this PDF file, please visit our web site to obtain an up-to-date copy.

The changes that have been made are as follows:
[add to the end of rule] TM 78 - 708.13 HEAD GASKET: No aluminum or copper head
gaskets allowed.
[add to the end of rule] TM 79 - 708.36 CRANKSHAFT: No ceramic bearings allowed.
[change rule to read] TM 73 - 701.23.1: Stock rod length is 3.120" minimum, 3.1333" maximum. Measured from bottom of wrist pin to top of crankshaft journal.
Final Note: The 2005 Technical Manual (October 2004 issue of WKA's Karting Scene) is mailing at this point in time.
