DON'T MISS BRUT/NHRA SPOT ON VITALIS SUN BOWL DEC. 30

DON SCHUMACHER RACING
2006 NHRA POWERade DRAG RACING SERIES

DANBURY, Conn. (Dec. 29, 2005) - Watching football games during this holiday week is standard procedure in most homes across the U.S., so NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series fans shouldn't miss the Vitalis Sun Bowl on Friday, Dec.30, on CBS at 2 p.m. ET, in which a Brut/NHRA co-branded ad will appear, featuring the Brut Dodge Funny Car and driver Ron Capps, runner-up in the 2005 Funny Car championship.

The spot features action shots of Capps and the Brut Dodge and talks about Brut launching the Funny Car in 2005 into the tightest Funny Car point’s race in NHRA history. It closes on a shot of Capps patting his face (helmet, actually) as if he's putting on after-shave lotion as he sits on the car with an event-winning Wally trophy.

The Vitalis Sun Bowl is played in El Paso, Texas, where Brut's corporate headquarters, Helen of Troy, is located. The Sun Bowl was first played on January 1, 1935, as a fund-raising event for a local service club, to benefit underprivileged children and to finance improvements to the El Paso High School Stadium. It has grown into El Paso's number-one national attraction and is second only to the Rose Bowl in longevity. This year the game is between UCLA and Northwestern representing the PAC10 and the Big Ten conferences respectively.

The country music group Diamond Rio will take center stage at the Helen of Troy Halftime Show.

Brut will take a more active role in the sponsorship of the Vitalis Sun Bowl. You will see Brut signage and broadcast mentions as an indication of the brand's increased presence. The brand also brought some market activities to El Paso, notably one of the Brut Dodge show cars, which made appearances at Fort Bliss for two days and will appear at the Fan Fiesta and the game.
