MOPAR'S NHRA PRO STOCK PILOT STEVENS JR., TO BE FEATURED ON SPECIAL EPISODE OF 'SPEEDFREAKS TV'
Center Line, Mich. - On Saturday, December 24, at 11:30 p.m., EST., Speed Channel's 'SpeedFreaks TV' will re-air the Hurricane Katrina Relief episode shot on location in the Gulf Coast. SpeedFreaks hosts Kenny Sargent, Crash Gladys, Lugg Nuttz and Statt Mann will take race fans inside the lives of motorsports stars who were affected by Hurricane Katrina earlier this year. Don Schumacher Racing's Richie Stevens Jr., is featured in the show.
Stevens Jr., will return to the cockpit of the Team Mopar NHRA POWERade Pro Stock entry for Don Schumacher Racing again in 2006. He finished eighth in the 2005 series points standings. Stevens Jr., fled his hometown of New Orleans, La., as Hurricane Katrina approached. Less than a week following the disaster, he battled to an impressive Final Round appearance at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park.
