Braselton, Ga. - In seven short years, the American Le Mans Series has built arguably the most comprehensive and widely distributed television motorsports package in the world. "It has been extremely gratifying to see how well the American Le Mans Series has been received worldwide. That is a tribute not only to the world-class competition but the superior production as well," said John Evenson, series vice president of broadcasting. "To my knowledge, the international reach of our broadcast package is among the most comprehensive in motorsports." MotorsTV telecasts all American Le Mans Series races live, flag-to-flag, in four languages (English, German, French and Greek) in Europe to more than 45 million households in 30 countries.

In addition, Greenlight Television, one of Europe's leading producers of motorsports programming anthology shows, produces and packages three different weekly programs that are distributed worldwide to literally every continent except Antarctica.
"Our goal is to find those American Le Mans Series fans down on that ice cap and get it to them before very long so we can say we've covered the globe," smiles Greenlight's David Bynum. "We've had some calls."
Greenlight, formed in 1995, operates from the Isle of Man and covers more than 100 events annually in Europe, North America and Asia. Among its premier shows are Motorsports Mundial, Max Power, and Motorsport Asia.
Greenlight Television provides American Le Mans Series coverage to every continent in the world except Antarctica.
Says MotorsTV's Frederic Viger, head of programming, "We've been absolutely ecstatic about the response and enthusiasm we get from viewers by bringing the high-quality American Le Mans Series production to Europe. It has been voted as the most popular form of racing on the channel by our viewers."
Combined with the American Le Mans Series' domestic package shared equally by CBS Sports and the SPEED Channel for 2006, the sports car racing series has little trouble laying claim to the most popular, widely distributed sports car series in the world.
