Road Race 125 Shifter Class Bodywork Rule Announcement
At the November Board of Trustees meeting it was voted on and approved to include drivers with WKA bodywork in both the Light and Heavy 125 shifter classes in the Road Racing Series. After a lot of feedback from the membership, the Road Race Committee held a conference call.
The result of the conference was that only the 125 Shifter Heavy class will permit WKA bodywork at an additional 20 pounds. The 125 Shifter Light class will remain CIK bodywork only. This proposal was voted on by the Board of Trustees through a telephone poll and it was passed. This rule change will take effect at the first race of the season at Roebling Road in Savannah, GA in February 2007.
To assist in identifying the revised classes, they will now be named:
CIK 125 Shifter 1 & 2: moto & ICC engines, CIK Bodywork only @ 385 lbs.
WKA 125 Shifter 1 & 2: moto & ICC engines, CIK Bodywork @ 410 lbs. OR WKA Bodywork 430 lbs.
