Williamson came around the first turn in 4th, found his rhythm and quickly moved into 2nd. On the second to last lap Williamson passed for the lead and looked like he might take his first win of the season when he crashed into a bush and lost 20 seconds. The time lost was all it took for fellow KTM rider Jason Thomas to pass Williamson to take the win. Williamson finished 2nd overall just eight seconds behind Thomas.
