Screamin’ Eagle Rider Gains on Smith in NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Title Chase

Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Eddie Krawiec raced a Harley-Davidson V-Rod to the final round of NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle eliminations at the O’Reilly Midsouth Nationals at Memphis Motorsports Park. Krawiec retained his second-place position in the Countdown to One championship points standings, and gained 17 points on the series leader, NitroFish Buell rider Matt Smith. Krawiec is now 42 points behind Smith with two events left on the schedule.

Treble lost in the first round and Ellis advanced to the quarterfinals.

KRAWIEC RACES TO FINAL ROUND AT NHRA DRAGS IN CHARLOTTE

Krawiec Jumps to Fourth Place in Countdown Standings; Hines Drops to Fifth

Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Eddie Krawiec rode a Harley-Davidson V-Rod to the final round of Pro Stock Motorcycle eliminations at the NHRA Carolina Nationals at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Krawiec lost in the finals to Snap-On Suzuki rider Steve Johnson, fouling at the line by just 0.002 seconds. By winning three rounds, Krawiec moved from seventh place to fourth place in the Countdown to One championship playoffs, just 42 points behind the series leader, Matt Smith.

TREBLE GOES TO SEMIS AFTER DEFEATING TEAMMATE ELLIS AT U.S. NATIONALS

CLERMONT, Ind. (Sept. 1, 2008)

Schumacher Electric Suzuki Pro Stock Motorcycle teammates Chip Ellis and Craig Treble were the first pair to square off in the opening round of Pro Stock Motorcycle eliminations today at the 54th annual U.S. Nationals. Treble had the jump at the starting line and held the lead to the finish stripe, taking the victory with an elapsed time of 7.018 seconds at 188.49 mph, his quickest run of the weekend. Ellis came in second with a 7.081/185.38 mph.

CLERMONT, Ind. (Aug. 31, 2008): Schumacher Electric Suzuki Pro Stock Motorcycle teammates Chip Ellis and Craig Treble qualified solidly for Monday's eliminations at the 54th annual U.S. Nationals. Ellis qualified No. 8, the 12th time in 12 races he's entered eliminations from the top half of the field this season. Treble qualified No. 9 in his debut with Don Schumacher Racing, clinching a spot in the Countdown to 1 and setting up a first-round match-up with his teammate Ellis in round one on Monday.
