The battle for the 2008 WSORR PRO Super Buggy Championship continues to be incredibly close. John Mason and his #912 Mendeola Transaxles Goodyear Tire Honda powered Super Buggy have been in a tight points battle with the #902 of Tim Lemons. Both drivers have finished on the podium every time out and the WSORR Bark River event would be no different.

WSORR VISITS OFF-ROAD RACING’S “BIG HOUSE” FOR ROUNDS III & IV

The Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR) pays its first visit of Tour 2008 to famed Crandon International Off-Road Raceway for the Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run Races June 21-22. The big weekend also features the 15th annual FCP Chairman’s Cup Challenge, the longest running big money off-road Cup race in the country. Top off-road racers nationwide will descend on the small Wisconsin community with the big track and another record-setting crowd is expected to be on hand to watch the battles in 11 truck, SUV and buggy classes.

WSORR GOES “HIGH-DEF” AND ADDS TV TALENT FOR 2008 SEASON ON SPEED

Race fans will get even a “better” look at Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR) action in 2008 as the entire season will be broadcast on high definition television on the home of motorsports, the SPEED Channel. NeWave Television Productions has announced the 2008 show format and broadcast team, which again includes NASCAR star Brendan Gaughan, following a very successful initial television campaign that resulted in the top-rated off-road short course race shows aired on SPEED.

HUMMER Scores a Hat Trick AT TERRIBLE's 250

Team HUMMER sweeps production classes with 2008 H2 SUT, H3 Alpha and H3
Emily Miller earns second place in Safari Class in debut race

DETROIT

Team HUMMER earned first place in every production class in Saturday’s Best in the Desert Racing Series Terrible’s 250 at Primm, marking the first time the team has earned three victories in a race. In addition to the stock class wins, Emily Miller earned a Safari Pre-Runner class second place finish in her inaugural race, driving the Team HUMMER H2 SUV.

HUMMER off-road racing teams are making final preparations to demonstrate their off-road prowess on opposite sides of the globe this weekend. The competition begins with Team HUMMER’s entry in Best in the Desert Racing Series Terrible’s 250 at Primm, April 19, and concludes with Robby Gordon Motorsport’s Team Dakar USA’s HUMMER H3 race trucks competing in the inaugural Dakar Series Central Europe Rally, April 20-26.

Phil's Inc. Posts Contingency - WSORR & MAORA

Since 1958 Phil's Inc. has been serving the automotive community with quality automotive parts at competitive prices. In the mid 60's, Phil's Inc. began offering parts and components for the fiberglass dune buggy craze. Quickly this led into supplying off-road racing components.

Petersen/White Lightning Launches Euromilhoes Dakar 2007 Effort

Two-Time Le Mans Champs to Open Rally with Inspection and First Stages This Week

LISBON, Portugal January 2, 2007

Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing will ring in the New Year with a new challenge: the Euromilhoes Dakar 2007. The world famous rally charts its course from Lisbon, Portugal to Dakar, Senegal beginning on January 6. It will conclude 15 days later, January 21, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. In the interim, driver/owner Michael Petersen (Las Vegas, Nev., USA) and his co-driver Matthew Stevenson (Ipswich, England) will pilot the primary race vehicle, No. 351, on nearly every race surface imaginable; asphalt, gravel, dirt and hundreds of miles of sand dunes. Prior to departing on the world’s most extreme motorsports event, the Petersen/White Lightning entry will undergo scrutineering/technical inspection. They will then complete the first two stages on the European continent before arriving in Africa where they will run the remainder of the 15- stage race. The team, having celebrated the holidays with family in the United States arrived in Europe today. Technical inspection, known as scrutineering, for the No. 351 MMPIE/PAWS/?.com/BF Goodrich entry takes place in Lisbon on January 4 at 11 AM (local time). Upon clearing inspection, No. 351 will be impounded until the start of the first stage on Saturday.
